On the 20th day of the fifth month, at 20 minutes past the midday mark, the Castilleja community was blessed to watch Raevo and Soapy tie the knot and begin their lifelong journey as spouses. But what started as a beautiful ceremony broke out in a dramatic uproar, eventually coming full circle and closing the event with an abundance of love across the school.
“It was simultaneously chaotic and full of love,” described Soapy, the bride.
The ceremony started with a whimsical piece of music as the wedding party fluttered through the aisle. Family and friends, such as the flower girl and the bridesmaids, glowed as they walked down the aisle, and the energy and spirit in the air were unbeatable. Soapy looked radiant in a stunning white gown, and the expression on Raevo’s face as he walked through the crowd was nearly as beautiful. However, as Ella, the officiant, began to speak, drama erupted when she posed the question, “Does anyone object?”
After a haunting moment of silence, Araika rose from the crowd. “I OBJECT! Because I love Ella. There’s only one couple who should be officiated today, and it’s us,” she declared.
The crowd gazed in horror as they saw Raevo and Soapy’s beautiful day being ruined. Shock arose again once Ananya burst out of her chair, screaming that she felt the same about Ella: “I object too, because I love Ella too!”
Chaos exploded through the wedding as Araika and Ananya began fighting dramatically in front of Ella, a situation only resolved once Ella declared she would publicly date both of them and the two were forcefully separated.
Ananya later remarked on her feelings about the argument, sharing, “At first, it was heartbreaking and I couldn’t see past my anger for both Ella and Araika, resorting to physical violence.”
Araika echoed this sentiment, saying, “I’m feeling overwhelmed that my own betrothal to Ella the priest was halted in such a violent manner.”
For Ella, this moment was especially hard. “I was extremely dismayed that both of my girlfriends found out about each other. I pride myself on being sneaky, yet this wedding revealed my biggest secret,” Ella said.

Afterwards, the ceremony began to return to normal. Raevo and Soapy exchanged a beautiful set of vows and rings, with the former shouting out his boys at Alpha Sigma Pi. The genuine love shared between the pair came through, and we are all rooting for this marriage to last. Through their similar sentiments, Raevo and Soapy are definitely meant to be.
“[I’m] honestly elated,” Raevo shared. “Hopefully [this is] the initiation of embracing ‘fratergy’ (casti frat energy) on a day-to-day basis.”
“I’m feeling great—enjoying married life! A frat wedding truly felt like the perfect way to celebrate our class,” Soapy added.

Following the vows, Raevo and Sophie shared a beautiful reception ceremony dance, eventually returning to the front to finish up the ceremony. Flo and Noelle shared Maid of Honour and Best Man speeches, reflecting on the relationship the wedding celebrated.
Afterwards, Noelle expressed that it was “[The] most successful wedding ever. I truly felt the strength of my brotherhood all around me. I really hope my speech was good enough to be best man at Raevo’s next wedding.”
Flo shared the same pride and reminisced on her time together with Soapy at their sorority.
“I felt so fulfilled and magnificent to have sent off one of my sisters to the next chapter of her life. I was emotionally moved and excited to see Soapy, my Big at Alpha Kappa Phi marry the love of her life,” Flo said.

In the midst of this, we witnessed another love blooming: Priscilla and Abby. Abby was able to propose to the former mid-ceremony, and Priscilla promptly declared her pregnancy following. It truly was a day for love!
“I felt really happy and so surprised. It was really unexpected and I was planning to announce to Abby about my pregnancy later, but in the moment it seemed like the perfect time,” Prisicilal said.
Abby echoed this surprise. ”It was totally a shocker (but a happy one!) to hear [she] was going to be a dad,” she shared.

This momentous occasion ended with a big cake cutting and bottle popping ceremony with all of the guests.
Camryn, father of the bride, remarked that she “always knew Soapy would marry someone who could shotgun a [soda] and still make it to an 8 a.m. class. [She] can’t wait to see how their marriage unfolds — hopefully with slightly fewer house parties and more shared Google Calendars. But hey, love finds a way.”
This sentiment rings true throughout the whole wedding party — take Ella, who, despite the drama, was able to stay caring and hopeful in this situation because of the power of love instilled in her by Soapy and Raevo.
“I hope neither of [my girlfriends] got hurt in their fight, and I also hope that they will even grow to become friends one day. I miss…both [of] them, so it’s hard to choose between them. Maybe I’ll see if they would [be] down for a polyamorous relationship,” she said.
In the end, even Ananya and Araika were able to settle their differences. Ananya stated they “were later able to talk it through and decided to share Ella.” A similar commitment was shared by Araika.
“I will grow to love Ananya like I love Ella, and we’ve decided to embark on a [polyamorous] journey,” she said.
We leave you all on this beautiful note and hope this wedding truly reminds you of the important things in life: family, friends, chaos and frats.
